is my brother. If you know who he is, that proves how well you know me
Sempena the Olympics on the 8th of August 2008 at Beijing (08-08-08), today happens to Lucas's birthday as well. I always brag and tell him that the whole of Wilayah Perseketuan celebrates my birthday with me every year - because 1st of February is apparently Wilayah Day. So, he was bragging me to me in return, telling me how the whole world is celebrating his birthday with him today - plus 08-08-08 is a really good date for the Chinese
So yeah, this post is dedicated to him on this special day
Meet Luke:
When he was 4 years old
Climbing on the awning pole outside my house
At some Chinese dinner
Lucas, pretending to be bergaya during family photo session at a studio
This photo was taken at exactly 10 years ago during his 7th birthday (08-08-98)
Present along was Tin - which marks our 10th year anniversary this year!

Fellow neighbours that came - now all are grown up!
Like many other people with their siblings, we do fight. However, it was all those hair pulling and biting on each other's back that we became closer to each other.
Lucas insist on fighting with me for the front seat in our car!
Well, we always fight for the front seat (for whatever the reason it was for)! I remember once, i think 3-4 years back; we were fighting for the front seat on the way to be CDs in my aunt's Kenari. I think we were both fighting for almost 10 minutes and he ended up sitting on me on the front seat. My aunt was so tired of waiting, so she said she'll just leave. So, there he was on the 15 minute car ride to the CD shop, he was sitting on my lap, craning his neck, while my legs were killing me. And of course, we had billions of stares while we were on the road - people were looking at us as if we were crazy! But the best part was, when we finally parked the car; there was a few Malay men going to their car which was next to ours. When he saw us both stuggling to get out from the front seat, he immediately checked the back seat to see what was at the back that made us both have to squash at the front. Well, the funny thing is, there is nothing in the back seat. He peered at the back seat, and then he looked at the both of us that just came out from the front seat. And he just shook his head. The 3 of us just burst out laughing like mad!

Silly faces - made during my Dad's dinner

That's what we both do when we get bored during formal dinners

Most recent picture of us - taken at Unique Restaurant for seafood
Dad belanja-ed us makan for Lucas's pre-birthday celebration before he left to work (he couldn't make it back on time for Lucas's birthday and Mom's (11-08-08).

Dad and Luke - do they look alike? They say I look like my Dad more though
Lucas is possibly the best gift my parents are able to give me. We can talk to each other about everything. Therefore, studying in KL is indeed a challenge, because it lessens the time i have with him. Although he can be really stubborn at times, he's really good at heart. I always try my level best to fulfill him with the things he wants because I love him very much
From his collection of S.H.E CDs to his clothes, shoes and other stuff. But of course, he knows where to draw the line when asking for presents
On this special day, I bought him something he wanted rather badly:
A Sony Ericsson W380i
His old phone was giving him a lot of problems - screen blanking off and keypads not working.
Upon the same purchase, i bought my mom this:
A Nokia Classic 2600

Mom needed a new phone as her phone battery is almost always dead. So yeah.
Now, I am serious when I tell you I am broke
Really. Most of it are from my savings and earnings from working at Starbucks. Geez. I don't know how long I will need to save to change my own phone
Anyway, Lucas is celebrating his big day by having a BBQ at our house tonight
Tonnes to do, and i gotta go pick him from tuition now.
So yeah, have fun watching the Beijing 2008 Olympics peeplings~!

"Kar Weng, say 'Good Morning' to teacher",says his Dad.
"Morr...ningg, teee..cheerrr", he says.
"Morning, Kar Weng", I repied.
Teacher? Hahahha! Me?Hahhaha! Yes, I've finally started work for more than a week (nearly 2 weeks now) at NASOM, Ipoh already. Yes, after two weeks battling with the admin. They told me they FORGOT to inform me when i harass them everyday with emails. Geez. How inefficient. Anyway, I don't wanna talk about HELP anymore - at least for now till my new semester commences.
I am not a very good teacher, really. The job's easy. But the kids can be really difficult as they are really hyper (especially the younger ones). I was pretty stressed out the first few days - i guess mainly because I am not experienced in this field and working with autistic kids. So, I am currently helping out with preparing their learning materials and help out with some admin work and stuff. Easy peasy. Job from 8.30a.m till 12.30p.m. Yes, rather easy. And i sleep after lunch a lot these days. Yes, I have gained weight because my mom have been cooking and baking a lot! Muahahhaha!
Will just show you one picture of the stuff she made. The rest are still in my camera.
Anyway, I am rather tired. I shall blog more tomorrow. I've been taking a lot of pictures about a lot of things these days. Shall show you guys when i feel like doing it. Yes, I am lazy because the internet connection sucks these days. And, boy, did i enjoy the feeling when the connection fluctuated when i was in the midst of doing my thesis, which made me visited IMAX pretty often. Grr.
I need to sleep. I've got work tomorrow. I shall end with a picture to show you guys that I am still alive and kicking!!!
With Dad. It has been long since i last saw him!
Alright. Till then. Ciao.

My parents have been pestering me to call NASOM, Ipoh to see when I can start my internship. But I can't directly just do that because I went through CareerSENSE. I have sent endless emails to Mr. Kumar asking him, but he's just telling me to "wait". I'm going through this "waiting" process for the second time already, and this is the huge reason why I didn't want to do any internship under CareerSENSE. Arrrgh! I didn't know why I actually gave Mr. Kumar a chance to "help me" and ended up I am just pending. I hope Mr. Kumar gives me an answer soon, because I don't know what's going to happen when my Dad calls CareerSENSE up. I think I should go look for a part time job and volunteer part time instead of going through all the CareerSENSE shit. Thank God I am leaving HELP soon. I can't stand the admin and everything in that college. Okay, maybe lecturers like Gerard and Miss Winnee's okay. But other than that, it just sucks.
Anyyywwwaaayyyy, I didn't want to bore you guys with admin stuff I am going through, but that was the first thing that pops up on my mind when I started typing. Oh! Mom made Cheesecake yesterday night!!!
Omg. This is bad. I had it for breakfast!! Yes yes, I think I have already put on 2kgs or more since I last came back due to all the Ipoh food, the junk, the ice-creams, candies, chocolates, biscuits, kuih and eating rice for almost every meal! But I couldn't resist the food that my Mom make!! They are so good that I don't mind being chubby for the rest of my life! Muahahhahaha!
CHEESECAKE!!!

I'm amazed with this thingy. I didn't know they use this detachable thingy for cakes!!!! I always wonder how they make it though

It was my Mom's birthday yesterday (according to the Chinese calendar - actual one on 11th of August) - so she kinda made-her-own-cake-for-her-own-birthday! Hahha!
My Dad was so nice to help me fix my bike before he went off to work the last time. So, I took the opportunity to go cycle around after breakfast. And man, I found out a lot of interesting stuff! But too bad I didn't pocket my camera along. I will go biking again tomorrow and show you guys interesting stuff - mainly stuff and places I go to back when I was younger. Dad's coming home tonight!
I can't wait to see him because I really don't remember when I actually last saw him! Muhahahaha!
My brother and I are currently pestering him for a new phone!
I hope our "proposal" for a new phone jadi lah, cos my phone have not been nice to me lately. I send SMS, the recipient can't receive, people send to me, sometimes I don't get it also. Sometimes when it feels tired, it just switch off by itself. Sometimes when it's nice it'll be nice to me. Sigh. So, don't complain if you can't get me!! I've been surviving on second hand mobile phones all these years, and I guess it'll be nice to get hold of a new phone for once. But of course, compared to other gadgets, phones are never my priority because I am not exactly a phone person though. I would prefer to invest it on camera's or mp3 players or even a Nintendo or something.
Anyway, I think I am craping too much.
I need to focus on reading journals now. Argh.

Deep apologies for not updating since after finals. Really busy, okay. The day right after finals, was volunteering for the Women's Aid Organization at Amcorp Mall from 9a.m to 6p.m on Saturday, and 9.am till 12p.m (because I had to go to the airport and send Mei Ling off). Was rushing like mad, because I was so tired and sleepy but I still haven't packed and complete the farewell gift and stuff. But anyhow, my aunt was kind enough to send me to the airport to send Mei Ling off because I was going to follow Mei Ling's parent's back to Ipoh from the airport on the same night.
Yeap, totally drained when i got back. And as usual, the routine of having breakfast with my parents, meeting up with Khian and Shereen (yay! Got my Singapore Starbucks City Mug!
) Met up with Jacq too. Had to help Mom clean the house. Get rid of my old clothes. You know, doing all the long-time-no-do stuff. And the whole week was sucky, because since the day i arrived back at Ipoh, the connection was dead. And the internet guy only came today after days and days I've harassed him to come on the phone!
So much for promoting all the good service and bla bla bla...... *covers ears*
Anndddddd, i am still waiting for NASOM Ipoh to call me. I wonder why so long also still cannot start my internship? Not that I am very enthusiastic to start... but I don't like the feeling of urmm.. wasting time. (Hmm.. I like the pretty relaxing feeling of able to catch up on my reading series, but still, I was prepared to start my internship, you know?) My flames to do my internship is going to die off soon if they still don't call me by next week. And if so, I'll prolly go volunteer somewhere or go get some part time job. Argh! Now you know why I don't like to go through HELP's admin. Annoying to the max
Anyway, the most exciting event of the week has got to be the R.AGE Trailblazer event which was held at D.R. Park yesterday!!!!
My brother and I, and tonnes of his friends and a long-lost-neighbour of mine went to help out. It's sorta like a part time job for the events management (D'Jungle People) and we get paird RM60 a day!!
And guess who I met?!!!
Sue Jern!!!

Hahah! I saw her name on the list, but i didn't really thought it was her!!! She didn't thought it was me either, because my brother used my English name to register me. Hahah! Anyway, I had lots of fun
Met lots of new people (and also my long-lost-neighbour) and lots of carrying work and stuff too! But I enjoyed it! :)

(L-R: Zhi Sheng(Back), Lucas(Front), Katherin, Kelvin, Thanth and Me)
Worked for so many long hours! Had to do the set-up at the field in the middle of the night. That was really challenging because there was limited sources of light! Slept at 2.30a.m and had to wake up by 5a.m.
Which results in this:

Lucas sleeping at the field!!

Luke and I were in the same team - Go With The Flow [Water Well]
With Sue Jern, at 'her' Store!!
I like the Store! It's very cool!
The Water Well Marshals built this!
We started building this in the dark around 8.30p.m! And had to get the equipment checked and stuff in the dark. Everything done till around 2a.m!! Man, I am sure proud of our work!

Marshals' Butts! (L-R: Kat, Me, Luke, Ryan and Zhi Sheng)
Me and Luke
Hmmph... Height issue here
Hahah! Yeap, Trailblazer was really fun!
But, you know, I missed my St. John days while i was standing on the same piece of ground in D. R. Park
I was standing at the field (the same place where I went for St. John annual parade of so many years), stood there, and looked across. St. John Headquarters. Man, I really miss St. John days! I told my brother that and he said,
"Who knows, maybe after tomorrow, your most significant memory of D. R. Park wouldn't be St. John anymore, it could be good memories of being a Marshal of Trailblazer".
I heard what he said, but deep inside, I know that it wouldn't be. My many years of St. John is irreplacable by just a 2 days event. Oh well, you people wouldn't understand how it feels. So let's scratch it lah..
So yes yes yes..I'm updating my blog lor.. Stop harassing me!! No time leh! My usual routine these days would be breakfast, house chores (clean room, clean shelves, wash this wash that) ferry brother around, nap and work my thesis at night. No that I am busy busy, but I have other things to do lor. I'll try my best to update it as often as I can (I didn't know so many people are interested in my life
) But then again, thanks for those who are reading, I promise I'll make an effort, okay!
Mei Ling arrived safely! She event met Tin and Ting!
Okay la, I gotta go read journals. Pfft.
Good day, peeps!
[p/s: Note to self: Need to pass pictures of D's birthday, Christine's birthday and Trailblazer event to respective people!!]
